Key Installation Points for 110V/220V Tankless Water Heate

Focus on four core areas: power supply, wiring, water flow, and installation.

1. Power & Voltage Matching

- Do NOT mismatch voltage, which causes weak heating or burnout.
- High-power units need 220–240V and a dedicated circuit; do NOT use regular outlets or shared circuits.
- Check the rating label and panel capacity before installation.

2. Wiring & Circuit Breaker

- For 8–27 kW units, use properly sized wiring and breakers to prevent overheating and fire.
- Use permanent wiring only; extension cords and temporary cables are prohibited.
- One dedicated grounded circuit per heater.

3. Terminal Wiring

- For dual‑voltage models, follow the wiring diagram exactly; do NOT rewire voltage manually.
- Tighten all terminals, use proper connectors for mixed wiring, and securely ground the unit.

4. Water Flow & Activation

- The heater requires minimum flow to turn on.
- If it does not heat or flashes, check the pump, aerator, and valves.
- Flush air from the lines before turning on power.

5. Location & Plumbing

- Install close to the point of use to reduce heat loss.
- Mount in a dry, frost‑free, accessible area.
- Install service valves, test for leaks, before applying power.

Installation Checklist

- Voltage and power match the electrical panel
- Correct wiring and breaker size, dedicated grounded circuit
- Follow wiring diagram for dual‑voltage models
- Flush lines and ensure sufficient flow
- Test for leaks before powering on
